About Us Don Neff grew up on a wheat and cattle ranch in Washington State on the Snake River, where the Neff family remains active today in various agri-business ventures. His roots trace back through eight generationsofagri-businesspioneers to the 1740s in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. His first venture in orchards was studying the economic risks and investment feasibility of large South Florida citrus properties up to 3000 acres. Working at a Boston-based investment company in the 1980s, he conducted financial analyses of several large holdings, and coordinated the due diligence leading to acquisition of $50MM in properties. By the early 1990s, Neff had relocated to Southern California. Bryant Ranch, then a large active citrus and grazing operation in Yorba Linda had been purchased by a local developer who built it out and created numerous residential neighborhoods. Three remnant parcels of the original citrus operation totaling about 20 acres became available, which Neff then acquired the right to manage and develop further. The three parcels contain roughly 4,000 trees and have been expanded several times by the Neff Ranch team to encompass a larger variety of citrus and tropical fruit trees. Beginning in 2003, a second property was brought under company management, consisting of 14 acres and 1000 Hass Avocado trees located in North Tustin. The avocado orchard is unique for its integration inside a high-end single family residential community with a homeowner’s association and generates income for the HOA residences. Each of these two properties is unique with their own specific circumstances, limitations and opportunities. For over 20 years we have been active in Orange County agri- business ventures, helping owners maximize the production and value of their properties.
